During this time, TSO was only playing Orpheum sized venues (3,000-6,00 seats) so  it is hard to imagine their elaborate stage show now fitting into a small venue.  It was amazing to see the Boston Garden filled to near capacity (19,600 seats) and every year I wonder how they will top last years show and every year they seem to do it. The show is no longer just an annual winter jaunt but has now launched into a spring/summer tour performing the groups “Beethoven’s Last Night” album in its entirety.

We caught up with ANNA PHOEBE on the TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA Winter 2009 Tour when it stopped at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. Aside from being the String Director and Solo Violinist for TSO,  PHOEBE has performed with Jethro Tull, Sean “P Diddy” Combs, George Michael, LeAnn Rimes and Oi Va Voi to name a few.

Solo material includes the critically acclaimed debut GYPSY and sophomore follow up – the infectious RISE OF THE WARRIOR (both available on iTunes).

TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, the rock orchestra that brought symphonic-rock to the mainstream audiences, will begin its holiday tour on November 1, 2009. The group, which derived its name from the Trans-Siberian Railway, was founded in 1996 by New York native Paul O’Neill who produced albums for hard rock groups including AEROSMITH, SAVATAGE and the SCORPIONS.

Since then, it has grown into a thirty-piece orchestra featuring two narrators, fourteen singers and fourteen musicians with expertise in genres ranging from R&B to Broadway and classic Rock.
