Paramore’s remaining members are finally speaking out over the departure of bandmates Josh and Zac Farro last month. In an interview with MTV, singer Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York and bassist Jeremy Davis said they were “hurt” by a blog post in which the brothers fired off scathing accusations toward the band and its management, but they’re assuring fans that Paramore will push past the drama.

“The three of us are still here — we’re not going anywhere,” said Williams, who recently revealed that guitarist Justin York and drummer Josh Freese will be joining the band for its upcoming South American tour. “A lot of kids are still asking if the band is breaking up, and that just goes to show how broken the communication online can be, when rumors start traveling. So this is our way of showing that there’s a future and we’re stoked for it.”

This year VH1 is giving the “Divas” franchise a military makeover by partnering with the USO to bring the iconic event to America’s troops and their families. Drawing from the tone of the original USO shows and using Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar in San Diego as home base, this year’s “VH1 Divas Salute The Troops” show will be a unique and uplifting version of VH1’s high profile signature event. Katy Perry, Sugarland, Keri Hilson and Nicki Minaj will perform in front of thousands of men and women in uniform at MCAS Miramar. Taking the effort overseas to thank troops serving in remote locations, Paramore will visit Marines, soldiers, airmen, sailors, coastguardsmen and reservists stationed at an undisclosed military base in the Middle East.  The USO Presents “VH1 Divas Salute The Troops” premieres on Sunday, December 5 at 9:00 PM ET/PT on VH1.

Just when you thought rock outfit Paramore couldn’t release yet another single off last fall’s “Brand New Eyes,” the band does just that — and makes a telling music video to match.

“Brand New Eyes,” the band’s third studio release, thematically exposed a heated conflict that developed between band members Josh Farro, Zac Farro, Taylor York, Jeremy Davis and front woman Hayley Williams. It was a brawl that centered on growing up and growing apart — and threatened to destroy the band for good.

“Playing God” plays off the same momentum that the video for “Ignorance” did, as Williams is seen poisoning, detaining and interrogating her male bandmates with a magnifying glass in a dark basement (one that bears striking similarity to Williams’ actual home, as seen in an episode of MTV “Cribs”).

The big headline of the just-released 2010 MTV Video Music Awards nominations is the fact that Lady Gaga is all over the place. The clips for “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” are both nominated (including a Video of the Year nod for each), and Beyoncé’s “Video Phone (Extended Remix)” — which prominently features Gaga — also scored some nods. Considering how much she has done for the music video world in the past year, it’s no surprise that she would figure so prominently in this year’s version of the show, which promises — as always — to be one of the biggest, loudest, most memorable parties of the year. In fact, get to work voting for the winners now.

But Gaga isn’t the only artist multi-tasking this year. B.o.B has two clips nominated (both “Nothin’ on You” and “Airplanes” scored nods), and Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams is also in two different places on the nominations board. Her band’s “Ignorance” is nominated for Best Rock Video (a solid category that also features 30 Seconds to Mars, Muse, MGMT and Florence and the Machine) and she is also part of the nominations that B.o.B received for “Airplanes” (including a bid for Video of the Year).
